Katie Jump Rope Apple Core Quilt

So here is the Apple Core quilt finished except that it needs the binding attached and sewn down. Honestly, I don't think I would have been able to get this far with this quilt without all of the encouragement from you guys out there in blogland. I found this quilt difficult!!! But, finally, with lots and lots of pinning of the rows together and a lot of patience to check each row carefully. take out stitches and redo all the mistakes I finally managed to get this far with this little cot sized quilt! This quilting part was very fun. I was still able to use the walking foot even though the quilting was in curves. If I was having a girl this time this would be the perfect quilt. But, alas, I am having a boy (don't get me wrong--I am very excited about having another boy) and this might not be as fitting. I had to make it though because ever since I acquired the Katie Jump Rope fabrics, I envisioned using it to make an apple core quilt.

Gorgeous! And I am in awe of your piecing - I don't think I would have the patience.

I don't see anything wrong with using that as a cot quilt for a baby boy! The primary colours are so fun and fresh.
