On a Whim Quilt Finished!

Today I finished sewing down the last bit of binding (black dots by Suzuko Koseki) on my On A Whim quilt for the quilt along.  Wow, I really am in love with this quilt!  It feels so good to be able to use Flea Market Fancy fabrics liberally.  I used the grey seeds on the front as the background fabric and blue posies for the backing.  Now I don't feel so bad about my recent FMF purchase because I've already used about half of it up!  I'm also having fun using my favorite Japanese fabrics--mostly by Suzuko Koseki and Kumiko Fujita...  I told you I love that daisy fabric!

I quilted this quilt using an all over pattern called "Simple Feathers" by Anne Bright.  Her patterns are my favorite and what I choose to use primarily.  I thought this was a great pattern and will use it again in future--I tend to look for designs that distribute the stitching evenly.  I'm not a fan of certain areas of a quilt being heavily quilted and other areas being scantily quilted.

Ok, now I think I might try making the next quilt in the quilt along...
