Working on a Wall Hanging
I actually want to work on dressing up the walls in our house. I have quite a few places where I need to hang something to add to our home space. I thought I would start with dressing up my sewing studio/family room in the new downstairs. The walls are a dark green color with a chocolate leather couch and pink/red wood flooring. I will post pictures once I quilt and hang this guy up on the wall. He's about 40 inches square at the moment which seems about right. The only thing is that I am hemming and hawing about what to do to finish this. Here is a link to my original inspiration from Krista at Spotted Stones here. Isn't her quilt absolutely amazing? Hers is slightly larger than mine--her individual blocks are larger. I love the way that she finished it with the tucked under art border and the way it makes such a stunning statement in the room. I'm thinking I also want to do some vertical line quilting but I am tempted to add a bit of white around the whole quilt to lighten it up??? What to do, what to do...

I've seen the one at spotted stones and love it too. Yours is fabulous. You could use a white Border or binding but I think that once it's on your wall you won't need it. I'd test it on the green wall and see. Go the straight line quilting!
This is wonderful! I look forward to seeing it finished.
I love the way this looks hanging on your wall and the colour of the wall is really nice too. Is there a pattern for this design, if so, what is the name of it as would love to give it a try.
