Baby!

So tomorrow I am finally 14 weeks along, which I am told is the start of the second trimester! I thought I would post a picture of my first ultrasound that was done this week at 13 weeks and 3 days. My husband went with me to the ultrasound and I think we were both kind of amazed that there is actually a baby in there. So far so good... I was very very tired from about 6-12 weeks, but recently have been feeling a little more energetic and actually feel like eating again. I am so excited about the whole process of being pregnant and am enjoying it. I just am so lucky that I don't have stresses of a job or lots of responsibilities at the moment. It makes it so much more special to just be able to experience this! I'm sure there will be plenty of responsibility and work soon enough!

For some reason I have had absolutely no desire to quilt or sew, but I have been busy knitting garments. I will post some pictures soon of what I have been working on...

What a gorgeous Ultrasound photo!! The baby looks so beautiful - congratulations. I am glad that you are starting to feel a little better the first trimester is tough. I am now 28 weeks pregnant and am really exhausted again. I did not feel like quilting until my 2nd trimester either I spent the first three months just trying to get by. Congrats again and I can't wait to see your knitting.

Of course you want to knit! I think all expecting mothers have a craving to knit. Isn't it fascinating what modern technology provides us? Our foremothers never got any sneak previews of their babies.

congratulations!
i felt the same way at my ultrasound (i'm now 27w 3d) and kept pointing at the screen in disbelief, laughing so that the ultrasound tech couldn't get a clear picture. now that he's moving around a lot i know there's a kid in there, and i've moved on to the disbelief that he'll actually come out to play in just 3 short months. Enjoy the second trimester and all the attention you'll start getting. So far for me, pregnancy has been so much fun.
thankfully my desire to quilt returned sometime around 18 weeks and i've got 2 baby quilts in the works. can't wait to see what you come up with for your little one once you're feeling creative again.

Glad you're feeling better, week 14 was always about the time I perked up too :)

Congratulations! The ultrasound picture of your baby touched my heart and took me back almost 22 years to my son's ultrasound. Enjoy this beautiful, sweet time. They grow up so fast.

God bless you and your family,

Gale, a Kentucky quilter
