So, this is the block I decided on for the Chestnut Hill fabric by Joel Dewberry. It's a very simple construction, but I was hoping for a construction that would allow the fabrics to do the work. We'll see how they go, I'm only worried that they will all run together and this block won't be seen on its own...

Bento Box Quilt
So, this is the block I decided on for the Chestnut Hill fabric by Joel Dewberry. It's a very simple construction, but I was hoping for a construction that would allow the fabrics to do the work. We'll see how they go, I'm only worried that they will all run together and this block won't be seen on its own...
This is really nice - I say do some more blocks and see how it looks - I know what you mean, the fabrics are so gorgeous that you don't want them to be lost (and the block pattern) when placed next to each other. But you have had such a great eye with your other quilts, I know it will all come together!

ReplyDeleteNeat - that was my guess based up on the stips that you showed yesterday. (I plan to do this with some of my Katie Jump Rope fabrics mixed with Kona Snow.)

ReplyDeleteI have made this pattern top, and really enjoyed it, I added a couple of unexpected fabrics (I think they were ugly) to give the top a bit more pop. These fabrics are gorgeous, looking forward to seeing more blocks

ReplyDeleteI made this pattern once as well - I quite like the pattern. Although what I did was use a jelly roll and each block was just two fabrics. Love the fabrics you are using - see what happens when you make a few more - I bet it will look great!
