Back From Our Canoe Trip

Sorry that I am not posting anything quilty today. We just got back from our canoe trip today and I thought I would post a couple of shots I took while on the river. We were very lucky that we had great weather and saw so much wildlife along the way. The Au Sable is a wonderful river. I was amazed at how many Bald Eagle we saw, apparently they have now been taken off the endangered species list.

We are looking forward to 4th of July celebrations tomorrow which is also our 1st anniversary! Happy 4th everyone who celebrates!!!

When I saw your first photo, I thought...what kind of weird Australian animal is THAT? Then I saw the Bald Eagle (very American for the 4th) and the Great Blue Heron and I was confused.

That is a funny looking porcupine you found. Your trip looks like a lot of fun. Happy Anniversary!

Yeah for Michiganders!! I am one too. My DD was in Australia 2 summers ago visiting her friend in Sydney. Now, as in today, her friend will be arriving a Metro airport for a visit to the US. I hope we can find as much for her to do here as she had for my DD to do there. Her parents also own a sheep farm in AU.
