Vintage Skier

My husband and I both enjoy skiing--in fact before I was married I used to work as a ski instructor.  Since I've been on a paper piecing kick lately I decided I would finally make this pattern up that I purchased a while back from Amy's Etsy shop here.  Actually, I've never been a ski jumper, but since I've lived a number of years in both Innsbruck and Garmisch, the ski jumper makes me feel particularly nostalgic for those days.  My plan is to quilt this little guy up this afternoon and will be for my husband to hang on his side of the bed.

What a cool pattern. It's difficult to find manly quilted gifts. Good idea.

gah!! awesome Jeanette!! I love your fabric choices too - particularly the jumper and the pearl bracelets for the mountains. Looks fab. I've just bought Amy's sewing machine pattern - since I'm just starting on my paper-piecing kick, and loving it! What amazing places you've lived, and how different a landscape Australia must feel. x Catherine
