Back in May, I decided to treat myself to this quilt pattern here called "Lots of Dots" by Chris Jurd. Way back in February I did a workshop with Chris and got to see the original quilt in person. Wow! I just have to say that the pictures don't do it justice and that it is an amazing quilt up close.
After a somewhat stressful afternoon yesterday, I decided to calm myself down and pulled out some fabrics to make one of the blocks in Month 1 of the BOM. This is the larger of the two that is part of the first month's task. I think there is nothing that calms me down more than sewing!

Gorgeous! Is it paper pieced?
Great fabrics and stunning design!
I love your block!!!! I wish the pattern wasn't so expensive or I might be be piecing this one alone with you!
Your block (and the quilt!) is beautiful! I'm with Deb, the pattern is amazing, and I'm sure totally worth it - but a little pricey :)
You choose such great fabrics. Therapy, right?
Superb. I clicked on the link. Wow - one expensively priced pattern,
You've done a beautiful job!
Great contrast in the fabrics and I love the centre.
For the information of other commenters the pattern is over 100 pages of instructions and foundations for 26 different circle blocks. Several months of my life went into writing the patterns - hence the price.
wow, that's amazing - going to take a lot of work!!!
I'm intrigued by the top right block (of the original) does she say why its upside down?
Absolutely stunning Heidi. You are so good at making me want to start new quilts - and I still haven't even started steam punk ;o)
Just gorgeous! I love your fabric choices.
