So, if you weren't convinced by how awesome my dad is from my last post, take a look at what he built me this week! Often when my customers ask me if I have wadding available, I really would like to say, "Girl, do I have wadding!" These racks that my dad built in my food storage room fit 10 rolls of wadding (I do have just a couple more) and will make it so much easier for me to measure and cut for customer quilts. I had previously looked into purchasing some racks especially built for wadding rolls but they would have cost me three times as much as it did to build these. Also, they wouldn't have been nearly as sturdy or well put together. Thank you dad!!! Feel free to comment and tell him how awesome he is too as I know he'll be reading! :-)

Wow!! Your dad does do awesome hand work!! You must be feeling very organized and so nice to have the wadding easy to get to and unroll. Girl, you have a lot of wadding!!!
Wow! I have no need for that much batting myself but it looks so pretty I want some of those racks too. Maybe that is just my inner hoarder talking.

Way to go dad. Fancy a trip to Brisbane?
Way to go Dad! That is going to make things so much easier for you.
Wow, that is impressive! Fantastic work Dad.
Actually I could do with a couple of built-in shelves myself - I'll bake a cake!!

No encouragement needed for me to comment - they are fabulous!!
HOLY MOLY!!!!
Looks fantastic! It's so great to have creative people in the family! Your spool and thread 'wall' is also wonderful! Happy quilting with your organized materials!
Oh Jeannette's Dad - you ARE awesome!! When I saw the post-heading, I was picturing something like big bins of wadding, nothing like these fabulous racks. They'll make Jeannette's quilting-process so much easier. Very jealous. (not that I have that much wadding ...!). Catherine
That is amazing !! Congratulations on your wonderful Dad! I think you may have cornered the market in wadding too!

Dads. Are. Awesome.
So glad you got to spend time with yours.
You have an awesome dad! And I love those racks. How convenient!
What a great system! So easy to see exactly what is in your inventory, easy to get to and measure off. How lucky you are!
Your Dad is awesome! But I'm really impressed with how much wadding you have.
Of course your dad is amazing! I think he needs to take a trip to my house in fact. He could visit his old friends in Ann Arbor/Saline when he comes to Canton...just sayin!
I'm impressed!
Your Dad is super talented!
PS. I was so surprised when you wrote that these are not all of wadding bolts:D
'Girl do you have wadding'!!
The storage system your dad has built is very impressive-as is the thread wall.
What a Dad! I think I need one like that. Do you hire him out. :)
Ummm could I borrow your Dad ? just teasing. But boy is he talented.
Good on you, Dad!
Jeanette is that Vilene Quiltite I see on your roll?
Wow!! That is cool!
Your Dad is SO awesome!! I sent a link to my MIL about your thread rack(She is a long arm quilter herself) and I'll be sending this too!
Would your Dad like to adopt another quilting daughter?
Your dad did a very very great job!!

What an awesome dad....sadly I'll never know what it's like to have one....although mine is still my hero and guardian angel....he died when I was almost 3, so I've never known what it was like to have one...I'm sure he would've made me things like yours has....and I'd have been just as proud of him as you are of yours :D Hugs
