The Dandelion Girl Quilt Finish

Here's a blast from the past.  Actually I only officially finished this quilt last week.  It was was sitting on my pile of quilts that still needed to have the binding attached and sewn down.  I'm really happy that I have kept this blog as a record of the quilts I have created.  I was able to quickly look up when I actually started this quilt and it looks like it was way back in March of 2008--the top was finished in May 2008 and I quilted this early last year.  I originally got the fabric as a Moda fat quarter bundle called Dandelion Girl by Joanna Figueroa and challenged myself to find a way to use every last scrap of the fabric building the quilt.  These fabrics are no longer the style of fabric I would purchase these days, but I still love and appreciate them.

It is nice to have a record of the evolution of our quilting styles. This is still a nice quilt.

I have 3 quilts quilted that just await the binding, I never seem to have the time to just finish that last step if I don't do it right away.

It's beautiful as always! It's good to hear you say that about fabric you bought years ago - I have the exact same sentiments about the 'old' parts of my stash, many of which look a lot like this fabric, I still love them, but not in the same way that I love the stuff I buy these days!!
