Drunkard's Path Echino Finish!
Another day, another finish. Haha. No, just getting another quilt photographed actually. This one is also King sized about 106 inches square. This is by far my favorite layout of the drunkard's path block that I have done yet. I will do a similar design again in future with different fabrics. What I like about this quilt is how the different Echino fabrics show peeks of different animals and objects throughout the quilt. Nothing is static--circles are great for showing movement!
Off topic, I thought I would share a story of how well I am finally assimilating to being a farmer's wife. Last night just before going to bed I happened to comment to my husband what warm weather we are having at the moment (albeit very windy!). He replied that it is going to get very cold tomorrow (today) as there is a cold front coming in. I paused for just a brief moment and suddenly replied, "Oh good, then I will be able to cook that corned beef I just thawed out today." That is to say that we would be able to have a fire and I could cook it on the wood burning stove and save energy. My husband and I just looked at each other and laughed so hard because it is certainly not the way my mind would have worked before being married to him! Economy and practicality go hand in hand being married to him!

It's amazing how we adapt to new phases in our life! Your Echino quilt is just beautiful.
That is a gorgeous quilt - one of my favorite layouts for this pattern! Well done!
Getting chilly here - and I'm trying to find recipes where I can use the oven - not woodburning, though, I'm not that brave, lol!
Love it! Scrolled thru all your creations and they are just beautiful - and I am 'almost' a former neighbor, living in SE Michigan (unfortunately not A2 though).
Funny! Love your quilt - that purple just pops off the screen, I hope it does that in person too.
