Today I finished making another project using a Quiltsmart product. This one is called the Mondo Bag. I liked making this one! It involves cutting 2.5 inch scraps and fusing them onto interfacing to make a patchwork style bag. I dragged out a lot of my Japanese prints, including Suzuko Koseki and Keiko Goke to make this one. For the lining I used a Jennifer Paganelli print.
What I like best about this bag is that it very large with no compartments. It will be very handy to use to pack clothing items in when we go on short trips. It would be perfect for taking to the beach or just for hauling stuff in general.
It sews up quite quickly too. In addition to the 208 2.5inch squares required, you also need about a meter of fabric for the lining and a meter of fusible iron on pellon. I think I might make a couple more as gifts...

It looks nice and roomy! With all those squares how big does it finish up? And is it just me or does it have it have a sort of offset bottom?
love your new bag!
Actually have the stuff to make this just sitting around waiting its turn. A friend made one, and I love it!
very pretty bag
I love this one!! So neat.
Love it! The little pops of purple against the greys are lovely and the lining sets it off beautifully.
