Parisville Quilted!

I have actually been doing a lot of free motion quilting this last week and a half.  I managed to finish two queen sized quilts that I've had as tops for several years( I will post more photos of those when it is not so wet outside!)  and I also finished quilting my Tula Pink Parisville quilt that I started a few months ago.  I still need to attach and sew down a binding for this quilt, but it is nice to have something actually made out of the Parisville fabrics.  I plan to do another Parisville quilt in the future with some Kona solids in some pastel colors, but I have yet to decide what design I will do.

My dad, they boys and I went for a drive to the rain forest walk near here yesterday.  My dad took this picture on the way (I love it--my new desktop).  It  was such a beautiful drive!  We had a rain shower and then when we got to the rain forest everything was clearing and the sun was shining through the trees.  The boys enjoyed themselves--all three of them;)

Not much new in my shop since I've been able to do a little quilting lately therefore I haven't done much cutting.  I do have some Dolce by Tanya Whelan in a 5inch charm pack that is new in my Etsy store here.  I plan to use these fabrics paired with some medium gray Kona soon!   Oh and anyone that reads my blog can use the coupon code -  Charmed  - for 15% off of anything in my store:)

Octogon Toile Quilt!!

I finally finished this quilt that was started about 4 years ago now.  It's one of my favorites made of Toiles and Civil War prints.  I really do love reproduction civil war prints, but lately it has all been about modern fabrics and bright colors.  I quilted this one myself on my sewing machine and was surprised that this almost king sized quilt was really not a problem!  Wow, I wouldn't have been saying that 4 years ago! I have a long list of quilts to finish yet!!!

What I've been working on these days....

I think I spoke too soon in the last post.  I thought the illnesses in our family were over, but after two rounds of antibiotics for the boys with all the joys of fever and screaming and waking up during the nights, we are back to where I said I was in the last post.  Hmmm...  Not getting much quilting done.  But I have been working on my lavender and orange quilt after seeing this post from Hyacinth Quilt Designs.
I was inspired and have made 100 blocks.  A rather large quilt.  I have 97 of the blocks finished, just have to scrounge to find fabric for another 3 and then add the sashing and sew together.

I've also been working (slowly) on cutting charm squares for my Etsy and Ebay shops.  I have to have something quiet to do during naptime.  This photo shows my latest addition of the entire line called "From Little Things" by Sarah Fielke for the Lecien.  She is also the co-author of the Material Obsession books. This is her debut fabric line.  I love it and am happy to see some great fabric from an Australian!  Such cute fabric and wonderful colors.  If you want some you can check it out in my Etsy shop here

Tomorrow my dad, husband and the boys and I will be going to one of the local shows/country fairs which will have some quilts in it.  I'm excited to get out and see a bit--I hope the quilts are fun to view.  I will make sure to bring the camera!!!
